1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using fbme.dev ("the Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

fbme.dev provides a URL shortening service that allows users to create shortened links pointing to third-party destinations. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree to use the Service responsibly and you must:

• Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
• Not use the Service to distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or mass communications
• Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Service
• Not use automated tools to create links in bulk without prior written permission
• Not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

3. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create short links that point to, or are associated with, any of the following types of content:

• Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code or software
• Phishing pages, credential harvesting forms, or deceptive login pages
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors
• Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates violence, terrorism, or hate crimes
• Illegal goods or services, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, or counterfeit items
• Scams, fraudulent schemes, or misleading advertisements
• Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• Content that violates any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to immediately disable any link we determine, at our sole discretion, violates these prohibitions. Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent banning from the Service.

4. Account & Access

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering
• You must promptly update your information if it changes
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must not share your account credentials with any third party
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms.

5. Link Management

fbme.dev does not actively monitor the destination of shortened links. However, we reserve the right to deactivate, redirect, or delete any link at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violations of these Terms of Service
• Receipt of a valid abuse report or legal takedown notice
• Technical requirements or service maintenance
• Extended inactivity of a link (no clicks for 12+ months)

We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the deactivation or deletion of your links. We recommend maintaining records of your original URLs independently.

6. Privacy & Data

When you use the Service, we may collect certain information to operate and improve the platform. This includes:

• IP addresses of visitors who click your shortened links (for analytics and abuse prevention)
• Browser type, operating system, and referrer information (aggregated, non-personally identifiable)
• Account information you provide during registration
• The original and shortened URLs you create

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data may be disclosed to law enforcement when required by law or valid legal process. By using the Service, you consent to this data collection and use as described above.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of fbme.dev and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of fbme.dev.

You retain full ownership of any content you link to through the Service. By using the Service, you grant fbme.dev a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process the URLs you submit solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. fbme.dev does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The quality of any products, services, or information obtained through the Service will meet your expectations
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

fbme.dev is not responsible for the content of websites linked through our Service. Visiting any external site is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, fbme.dev and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any conduct or content of third parties linked through the Service
• Any damage resulting from the deletion or deactivation of your links

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the Service exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have an account, you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal obligations to retain certain records.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 14 days' notice before the new terms take effect, either by posting a notice on our website or by sending an email to registered users.
